It’s probably no shock that I’m an Old Hollywood Film addict.  But before my obsession with old movies, I was a true musical theater geek.  So I was so excited when I was gifted two complimentary tickets to see the Boston debut of the An American in Paris Broadway Musical.  The tickets were in our swag bags at the Cambridgeside Galleria event I attended, and the show just so happened to be on my two month wedding anniversary.  So my husband and I were excited for a night out in the city… and I was excited to create this Parisian Makeup Look for the evening….

Pinning is Glamorous!

A Parisian Makeup Look inspired by the An American in Paris Broadway Musical & the Master By Mario Palette

I picked up the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Master by Mario Palette on a recent trip to the Sephora in Boston.  I just had to use the shades Hollywood and Paris for this look!

I also knew I wanted a red lip, and I went with my favorite Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Underage Red.  It’s the perfect pop of red, it was my wedding shade, and I thought it was appropriate since, in the original movie, Gene Kelly was 19 years older than the barely legal Leslie Caron who played his love interest… scandalous for the time.

Here’s how I got the Parisian look…

I love that palette. It really is gorgeous. I too am a big fan of old movies and musicals. I didn’t know there was anyone else out there like that. My teenage daughter is really into the wide open eye look with her makeup. I can’t wait to show her how you did it.
