The Best Primers For Sensitive Skin

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with primers over the years.  On the one hand, I love how smooth they make my skin, how much easier they make foundation application, and how long lasting they can make my makeup.  On the other hand, many of them make my skin red and irritated… and some even make my skin… gasp… break out.

Pinning is Glamorous!

The Best Primers For Sensitive Skin Review

So I went on a quest to find the ultimate primers for my overly sensitive skin.  I tried on each primer, and used the same foundation, and powder each day so I could get a scientific review of how each primer looked under makeup.  Here are the results…

Great, thanks for the suggestions. I have sensitive skin, dries out very easily, so I’ll try these. I also heard at a conference yesterday about how so many of the beauty products on the US market have dangerous toxins in them, so I’d bet that these are way better for you than those!

I don’t know much about the CoverFX, but I know that Too Faced and Kat Von D are cruelty free, and they are brands I trust πŸ™‚

Eeek! I don’t even use a primer! I have pretty sensitive skin, so this is good info for me! Thanks for your wisdom, once again πŸ™‚

So glad I could help! If you’re happy with the way your makeup applies and lasts then I would say a primer is not necessary… but I do think it’s good to have one on hand for special occasions πŸ™‚

I wouldn’t say my skin is sensitive, but I picked up the Too Faced Hangover in LA recently and it’s transformed my make up look. I was so stuck on the Smashbox one but now I love the Too Faced & the Cover FX one too. X

I actually was all about the Smashbox too, until I discovered these… and I’ve never looked back! πŸ™‚

I loved this review because I also have sensitive skin. I usually use Smashbox, but I may need to try the Two Faced Primed and Poreless!

Make sure you get the “Pure” one for sensitive skin… I don’t think Sephora sells it, but I can find it at Ulta πŸ™‚
