I’m definitely a girly girl. I don’t play sports, I don’t like to get dirty, and I love a fancy dress. However, I’ve been taking a lot more fashion risks lately and I’ve never been happier. Looking back on my life, I’ve realized that every time I’ve played it safe with fashion I’ve always regretted it. That’s why I’ve been turning to fashion rebels for inspiration.
As far as Old Hollywood style rebels go, you can’t get any better than Marlene Dietrich. She is the Goddess of Menswear Fashion Glamour. So when I saw photos recently of Kris Jenner’s Gatsby Themed Birthday party, I was so excited that Kourtney Kardashian channeled Ms. Dietrich and went with a sexy suit.
Don’t get me wrong, the other Kardashians looked stunning in their sparkly evening gowns (say what you want about the Kardashians, but the ladies know how to do luxury). But Kourtney’s look, as simple as it was, was such a showstopper for me! I love how Kourtney tales risks with fashion. When her family does a “theme”, she joins in but always does her own twist.
I went on a quest to recreate her look for the holiday season. I wanted it to be affordable, and with my body type it was a challenge (blazers and boobs can be best friends or mortal frenemies). I ended up ordering the pants and the blazer from two different brands. I was pleasantly surprised that the fabrics went so well together.

Kourtney’s my favourite too. Such a whimsical yet sexy vibe to her style. Her outfits are always aspirational yet attainable and she never looks like a stuffed dumpling 🙂 the bit I love most about your look here are those shoes. They’re THE absolute game-changer, well done!!
