It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… but, unfortunately, it’s January. You may or may not have heard that New England is getting hit with a major snowstorm (or as my Dad likes to call it “This is no big deal, I used to walk to school in more snow than this”). This time of year, fashion can be the last thing on your mind. But eventually the snow will disappear (maybe by August), and fashion will be back again. So I thought I would compile a list of fashion industry themed films to get you inspired… since, if you’re in New England, movies and popcorn (or all that bread and milk you hoarded) are you’re only options in this weather…..
The Devil Wears Prada– If you want a film about the fashion industry, this is the Holy Grail!… Just don’t ever say all blue belts look the same or you’ll regret it.
Funny Face– If you want to go Old School, you can’t go wrong with a Audrey Hepburn film. This film is over the top, but any film that has a song all about the color pink is my kinda film.
Zoolander– If you want a laugh, this is the film. If you want to see how ridiculously serious the 90s took their supermodels, then this is the film for you.
Confessions of a Shopaholic– I haven’t watched this yet… this may be my snowstorm film.
If you still need more film ideas for Old Hollywood Glamour inspiration, SuperBowl inspiration with Football Films for Girly Girls, and Childhood Glamour Movies… in case you’re stuck at home with your little Starlet, now’s as good a time as every to inspire her to get glamorous.
What movies will you be watching in the storm?
… and if you’re looking for something else to do today, head over to my YouTube Channel and watch a few videos… don’t forget to subscribe!
To all my Northeastern Starlets, be sure to stay safe and warm!
