To finish out our basic entertaining series (including basic party planning, cocktails, and food), we need to talk about fashion! When entertaining at home a Starlet looks for outfits that have a combination of comfort and glamour. Hostess dresses are basically very glamorous pajamas, and they fit the bill. If that is a little too casual for you, you can go with a kaftan like Elizabeth Taylor, or some capri pants and top like Jayne Mansfield. Here are some looks for inspiration….
Many Starlets will go barefoot to give their guests a casual feeling… she never wants her guests to feel uptight. As a result, a pre-party pedicure is a must… as well as a manicure and a trip to her hairdresser.
