canadian pharmacy tadalafil I decided to take the Mod 60s look and, well, make it modern. This bold black and white graphic liner is current and a throwback at the same time. It’s perfect for Halloween or for a night out on the town!
This week’s prompt for the Makeup Mixup, with the fabulous hosts Jaelan & Miranda, is Pumpkin Spice. The closest thing I have to any pumpkin colored makeup is my newly acquired liquid lipstick from Ofra in Miami Fever. It’s a collab between Ofra and YouTube Beauty Guru Kathleen Lights. Since Ms. Lights has an eyeshadow collab with ColourPop, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to do a Kathleen Lights inspired makeup look. The Miami Fever is the “pumpkin” and the Where The Light Is bronze/gold eyeshadows are the spice! Since this is the very first time I used Miami Fever, I also included a little first impression review. The whole look makes me think of Fall and Pumpkin Spice… grab a latte, and enjoy!
I’m swatching the new Milani Amore Matte Lip Cremes… They were limited edition, but I’m told they’re now a permanent product (thank goodness because they’re amazing). I ordered some online, but I found the rest in my local CVS.
This week’s prompt for the Makeup Mixup with Jaelan and Miranda is Matte About You. I had to pry myself away from the shimmer, but I did a completely matte makeup look, and I actually love the way it came out!
I’m still recovering from StyleWeek last week, and spending this week catching up with emails, blog comments, social media, etc. In addition to all that, my phone was dying a slow painful death, so I just got my first iphone and I’m learning how to use it (cue the stressed emoji). Even though I’m exhausted, this all good news…. now for the great news. I went to the fabulous Boston Bloggers event on Tuesday to meet up with some amazing local bloggers, and I won the raffle prize… a ticket the the Wayfair Heart Home Conference!!! So the first weekend in Oct I will be surrounded by fellow bloggers in Boston learning how to make Everyday Starlet even better! To top that all off….
…Fall is finally here! With everything I have going on, I wanted this weeks makeup look to be simple and wearable. So here is a quick and easy Fall makeup look inspired by the gorgeous Christina Hendricks at the 2015 Emmy Awards… I so miss Mad Men and my fav Joan Holloway Harris!
I’ve become obsessed with liquid lipsticks lately. They give you a super matte, long lasting lip look that is so on trend right now. However, they are not all created equally, and many of them can be a dry as an over-processed bleach job (not that I know anything about hair bleach of course, wink wink). After my last liquid lipstick review I was asked to review a few other brands… so here’s an update of my favorites…
Day 2 down of StyleWeek Northeast 2015, and what a day it was. I started out planning to wear this outfit. Right before I was about to leave, my skirt zipper broke. The skirt was not too tight at all, so it’s obviously a defective zipper. I don’t know if I’m going to try to return it or invest in a tailor to put in a quality zipper… but anyway, that’s just another lesson: when your going to an important event and running late (like I always am… Instagram isn’t going to check itself, m’ right?) alway plan a backup outfit!
Wardrobe malfunction aside, let’s get to the good stuff… (if you want to see how I’ve been doing my makeup all week, then be such to check out the end of this post!) (more…)
Selena Gomez always looks classic and elegant, so I wanted to do a makeup look inspired by the look her makeup artist Jake Bailey gave her for the VMAs (and I just had to use her hit Good For You). I used her exact eye liner, mascara, and lipstick from Cover Girl. I didn’t have her exact shadow pencil, and the mix I made came out a little bright… but the whole look is affordable because everything I used came came from the drugstore….
