Jennie Garth recently released a memoir, “Deep Thoughts From a Hollywood Blonde.” As a former 90210 fan (the original, not the knock-off), I will definitely check out this book, but for all my blonde Starlets out there (and any who would like to live vicariously through us platinum ladies) I compiled a list of my favorite blonde books…
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes by Anita Loos
I’m sure you’ve heard of the classic movie (and that’s a must-see no matter what your hair color) but the movie was adapted from a novel by Anita Loos. It is such a unique read because it’s written like diary entries complete with spelling and grammar errors, but also completely full of heart.
Bergdorf Blondes by Plum Sykes
This book is by one of my favorite writers, Plum Sykes. It has a very Gentlemen Prefer Blondes feel to it, so if you are looking for a fun novel about New York society (and blondes, of course) with a touch of humor, then this is a must read…
The New Rules For Blondes by Selena Coppock
This book is written by a fellow female comedian, blonde, and former Bostonian like myself (although, you can take the girl out of Boston, but you never take the Boston out of the girl.) Selena proves that blondes can be funny AND smart…
The Bombshell Manual of Style by Laren Stover
Ok, so it’s not just about blondes, but there is so much stuff in this book about Old Hollywood Blonde Bombshells like Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield I had to put it on the list…
And you should also pick up Jennie’s new book as well, I can’t wait to read it….
Do have any favorite blonde books… or maybe some brunette or red head inspired ones?
